Jeff Moore

Jeff Moore, Pastor-Teacher   (jefferyamoore@yahoo.com)

Jeff was born in Baton Rouge and was an assistant pastor and interim pastor at churches in Texas and Louisiana before being called to BPBC in January 2016. He has a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jeff is a Latin teacher at Sequitur Classical Academy in Baton Rouge. He loves to preach God’s Word and shepherd God’s people.

 

Crawfisherman

Mitch Collier, Chairman of the Deacons & Youth Ministry

Mitch was born in Baton Rouge and has lived in Bayou Pigeon for many years, working as a crawfisherman, firefighter, and EMR responder. You can find this fun-loving deacon driving the church bus up and down the bayou on Sundays. Mitch is married to Rose, and he is a father and a grandfather in addition to being a spiritual “dad” to countless youth. He was saved on Oct. 12, 2007 and his life has never been the same since.

Connie New

Connie Alvarez, Music Ministry & Women’s Ministry

Connie is a native of Grand River and a lifelong member of Bayou Plaquemine Baptist Church. Her maternal grandparents and mother were charter members and with her two children and one grandson she is a part of five generations with continuous membership in the church. She began singing in the church at the age of two and a half and has great pleasure in hearing children and young people worship God in song.

 

Glyna New

Glyna Kelley, Youth Ministry & VBS Director

Glyna has lived in Bayou Sorrel for 37 years and has actively served on the Iberville Parish School Board for 27 years (District D). She is married to Pete and they have two children and five grandchildren. She and her husband run Kelley’s Bait Shop along Highway 75. Glyna has been the Director of Bayou Plaquemine’s Vacation Bible School for nearly two decades and she loves pointing children and families to the joy of knowing Christ.

 

Karen Patrick

Karen Patrick, Children’s Ministry

Karen was born in Plaquemine and is a lifelong member of Bayou Plaquemine Baptist Church. Her mother was a charter member of the church when it was established in 1946. Karen has been a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. She is a mother and a grandmother and a great aunt. In addition to her many regular church duties, Karen organizes an Operation Christmas Child drive for Bayou Plaquemine every year.

 

Tabitha

Tabitha Rowan, Treasurer

Tabitha is currently the SEC Compliance Manager for H&E Equipment Services, Inc.   She received her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Accounting from Louisiana State University and is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. Tabitha lives in Bayou Plaquemine with her two children and has attended BPBC since birth.
